Hello All!
What a wonderful Holy Week we had. It was some of the most beautiful services I have experienced at the church. Thank you all for the ways you gave your gifts, time, talents, resources, and service.
As we move into the coming weeks, there is a lot going on:
  1. Sunday, April 16th Confirmation Party (ALL YOUTH, MENTORS, AND PARENTS ARE INVITED) 5-7 pm at the church parsonage. Please bring finger foods to share with others. Let me know what you’re able to bring.

  2. Monday, April 17th the youth are invited to hang out with the Roots students. Let me know, BY FRIDAY APRIL 14th, if your student needs to be picked up from Martin School.  You can pick up your student at 5 pm from the church on that day.
  3. Youth Retreat: Friday, April 21st – Saturday, April 22nd. Dinner in the Fellowship hall at 5 pm on the 21st. And then we will leave for Reelfoot. We should be back about 4:30/5 pm on Saturday, April 22nd.

  4. Sunday, April 23rd: We are having a parent and student, youth planning session from 5 pm-6:30 pm. We will have pizza. This is for ANYONE who is interested in helping with youth, those who are currently helping, parents of students in youth and coming up into youth, as well as students (6th grade- 12th grade). Please let me know if you’re able to make it so that we have enough pizza ordered.
  1. Wednesday, April 26th Breakfast Club 6:45 am at Mcdonald’s. If your student needs a ride to school from McDonald’s- just let us know. Also, if your student wants to come but needs sponsorship for breakfast- just let me know. We have them covered if so!

  1. Sunday, April 30th Senior Sunday and Messy Games! This will be a PACKED day! That Sunday morning, we will be celebrating  Mary Anna Chester and Cole Belew as they graduate high school. And from 5-7 pm, we will be having Messy Games! Come in clothes that are able to get messy! We would love Parent involvement, so if you are able to stay and be a part somehow, even if simply cheering the students on, we would love to have you.

I think that is the rundown for the rest of April! If you have any questions, please let me know. Also, don’t forget that Lake Junaluska Sign Ups are live online on the church website. Space is limited so you will want to sign your student up ASAP.

Grace and Joy,
Karastin Freesé
